    About

    Dr. Mamier has been working as full time faculty in the School of Nursing since 2009. Her teaching appointment is in the Graduate Programs where she teaches in MS, DNP, and PhD students. Her primary area of scholarship centers on spirituality and healthcare with specific interest in patients’ spiritual needs and nurse spiritual care. She is involved in collaborative research in this area and is a Research Associate to the Center for Spiritual Life & Wholeness at Loma Linda University. She also maintains a research interest in issues related to student retention in nursing education. Besides having been involved in two studies on informal caregiving, Iris has more recently extended her research interest into the area of research in Interprofessional Education (IPE). She is a member of the Center for Interprofessional Eduation Research, a member of Faculty Graduate Studies (FGS) and of Faculty Development Committe at Loma Linda University. Dr. Mamier has been a member of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International since 2006. In 2015, she has been invited to become the Vice President of STTI Gamma Alpha chapter. Currently, she is serving a 2 year term as President of the chapter.
