I have a passion for education, health promotion, and wholeness. The combination of these three loves has led to my life work of nursing education and research.   In my quest for understanding the barriers to and facilitators of lifestyle changes that promote health and well-being, I have conducted quantitative and qualitative research among Latinos with type 2 diabetes.  Empowering individuals and families to overcome obstacles and utilize available resources to achieve wholeness continues to be my passion.
